Thank you for your interest in joining the OnTrackNorthAmerica BrainTrust as a Subject Matter Expert (SME). Upon approval we will place you in the SME BrainTrust according to your work and interests. As an OTNA Subject Matter Expert you will collaborate with our Organizers an Facilitators on designing and producing State Initiatives and IntelliConferences. By-the-way, Subject Matter Experts are also invited to be Particpating Stakeholders in our Intiatives and IntelliConferences.

Depending on the issues being addressed, OTNA Organizers and Facilitators hold monthly or quarterly one-on-one calls with our SMEs, occasionally bringing together small groups in the same domain via Zoom. As OTNA Initiatives and IntelliConfernces are developed we would invite you to become more involved. The work is voluntary, you may pass on contributing insights at any time.

Who is qualified to be listed as a BrainTrust Subject Matter Expert?

  • A high level of professional expertise on a subject
  • Ability to present viewpoints and knowledge effectively in wrting and discusssion
  • A person who looks for breakthroughs
  • A person who strives for orderly communication processes
  • What is the distinction between an SME an a Champion?
    • SMEs are Individuals who add insightful direction and key recommendations to Initiatives and IntelliConference Series.
    • Champions are individuals who advocate for an approach, idea, and/or a new possibility.
  • We do not expect SMEs to agree with OTNA market development strategy and plans for the outcomes of Initiaves and IntelliConferences?
  • BrainTrust SMEs are required to be OTNA Members at $200 per year.
    • We may provide scholarships to early BrainTrust SMEs

What do we want BrainTrust SMEs to do?

  • Be available to OTNA Organizers, Facilitors and Directors to answer questions and advise on issues coming up in Initiatives and IntelliConferences
  • Register when it is practical as a Participating Stakeholders in relvant Initiatives and IntelliConferences
  • Participate when it is practical in Subject Pages
  • Maintain a user page
    • OTNA supplies each SME with a publically accessible user page to share views and publish white papers, etc
  • OTNA maintains a private page for each SME where they can share organizing strategy and issue policy with OTNA Organizers, Facilitators, Directors and other BrainTrust SMEs
  • We want to enroll SMEs in being pro-active in defining challenges and uncovering breakthroughs on specific subjects
  • In special cases OTNA staff will support SMEs who do not particpate directly in our work site
